The Equine Portrait

I specialize in horse & rider portrait sessions, and black background portraits are my new obsession.

I have been drawn to horses since my first breath. My little-girl heart somehow became set on, not just horses, but Arabian horses. My dad found me an Arabian at 11 years old. That little mare became my best friend. It was not a phase; I still have Arabians today.

When it comes to portrait photography, I have always prioritized the “feel” and storytelling over posing. Most “candid” photos are prompted; this is where I come in.

After 16 years of working as a wedding photographer, I have honed my portrait craft and perfected the art of working under challenging conditions. My goal is not to simply snap a few fancy pictures of you and your horse. I want to capture and preserve the story of your bond together, with those oh-so-magical in-between moments.
